Quest bug reports

Looks like 3 of the mayor quests are now broken.

It is no longer possible to start the wine or two dead quests.

I was able to gain the initial Undead quest last night, but the wine quest failed.

What levels are your characters?

What town hall jobs have you completed?

The initial 'source of the undead' one has a level requirement (9th level+). The wine job requires the food one to be finished, and the second undead one requires the first to be completed before it can be taken.

If this isn't the case, then those might actually be broken and I spend late tonight fixing them (if I get done with a custom cupcake order early enough).

For a variety of different reasons I completely missed this. I think the system *is* working as designed. My apologies.

The root cause for me was that the quest prerequisites are the very last sentence in a block of text that doesn't change. I think I viewed two quests in a row without prerequisites and received identical text twice so I didn't bother to read past the unchanging part.

My suggestion is to put the prereqs (if any) before the quest system instructions in the OOC section.

Yep; have not done the Food quest yet, so it may be OK. However, as one that is Techless, I know using the Select Tool was a bit intimidating when I first arrived, and perhaps some sort of a tutorial at Character Creation with it and like funtionality might be advisable. Perhaps it could be made into a mini-quest for CC for a little extra starting XP; optional for experienced Players.

Kasharney Swift is currently using Nethos Demarka's conversation/quest.

Nethos allows you to accept (and maybe Kasharney does too, didn't check).

However I don't see the quest listed in the journal or in the quests system.

Elhanan's idea about a guided tutorial for the player select tool integrated into the Astral conjunction character creation process is phenomenal.

Thanks. Looks like I messed up setting one variable on Kasharney Swift. Fixed for next module update.

It doesn't look like the Swift quest is in Felicity Finraven's dialog any longer. Spoke to Kasharney to initiate the quest, but no change in Finraven's dialog.

Sure, I'm taking orders. And I've done a killer peanut butter and chocolate one before (chocolate cake, peanut butter & chocolate filling, peanut butter buttercream frosting) . However, unless you live within, ~ 20 miles of my house, you're not getting them delivered and will just have to salivate in front of your computer.

In addition to the Swift/Finraven quest, Darla's quest also doesn't appear to be working.

Because of the rewrite I'm not sure if we should continue to report bugs? Not sure if these are bugs or just quests in transition...

Update on Darla's.... she now takes the items... and then some.

I decided to be nice and say the whole deal cost me just 100 gold dragons... and the witch went and took ALL my frosted quicksilvers, not just the one she asked me to get from Vendar in watertown.

If she wasn't a somewhat important NPC in the newbie town, Angelica would have been feasting on charred blacksmith for lunch....

Also, giving Darla the goods doesn't seem to update/finish the quest. My quest status is stuck at "I gotta give the goods to Darla" bit.

^ This quest looks like it has been fixed - worked for me today.


On the other hand, the wine quest for the major's feast seems to be busted. (Yes, I did gather all the food first and finished it!)
When you place the silverberry wine bottles into the barrel, it does not recognize them upon closing the lid. So you cannot finish it. :/

Just to add to it, Anna, my mage, is level 40...although I doubt it has anything to do with it, considering the fact she could receive the food quest, and complete it, just fine...
