Jan. 14, 2013: Quieter "Torches"
I keep finding new "just one more little thing"s on my list of stuff to do, leading up to another hak update in the very near future.
Today, I decided that I wanted to work on torch items.
First, I'm switching them over to a 3-part model system (like weapons and (soon) shields). This both opens room for future expansion of options, and let's me get rid of a bunch of the CEP-included ones I never liked or used anyway (I did the same thing with the shields).
Second, I'm adding some new torch item models and matching icons.
Third, I'm fixing an issue from loooooooong ago where I misnumbered five or six holy symbol icons (which caused certain icons to not match the proper 3D "held" models).
Fourth, I'm getting rid of the "flaming torch" sound that automatically gets added whenever any "torch item" is equipped (torch, flag, serving tray, lantern, holy symbol, glowing crystal, etc.). No longer will your holy symbol sound like a torch (sorry, Conflagral priests). I am adding a copy of that sound to the visual effects list though, so for actual torches, I can apply that sound when it's equipped and remove it when the torch is unequipped.

A nice change ... maybe I will keep torches for the PCs, instead of selling them outright.
