Yes, last night I started the process of doing a full wipe and reinstall of my desktop PC to finally get rid of some very, very persistent adware. I've been using that computer for 7 1/2 years now, and this is the first time I've had to do a format/reinstall.

The hard drive complete formatting and Windows installation took a while, but restoring everything else is painfully slow, probably because I can't just walk away for an hour at a time. What a pain in the posterior.

Suck is... got to the dentist, but no work can be done until the infection (causing the swelling) goes down, so it's a week of antibiotics and the good painkillers for Manny

Got hit in the face by a rock kicked up by a truck. Cracked two teeth, but luckily the jaw isnt broken, although it sure feels like I fractured it.

That sucks. Do you look like a chipmunk now? If it makes you feel better, when I was thirteen, a girl hit me in the face with a broom and chipped both my front teeth.

SUck is the whole holiday season.

I like the idea of it... the practical result of it is what sucks imo. I went to run errands yesterday... got groceries... and then saw the bumper-to-bumper traffic near the mall that I had to drive past to finish the rest of my shopping.... and I just gave up and went home.

Suck is having to come home after a 4 night stay at the beach. It was neat to see the eclipse while walking along the shore...

Yeah, yeah. Rub it in.

No beach here. No eclipse, either, since I got stuck with clouds all night.

I'll catch the eclipse the next time around ... besides, all the glitter bothers me ...

Trampolines are known by MD's for creating manysuch accidents, I believe. In fact, when we were living in AZ, our family Doctor is the one informing us of such. Hope she is well soon.

My hopes and prayers are with Mrs. Dragon for speedy and full recovery.

Luckily, it seems to be just a serious straining of muscles. She's been extremely sore, taking it easy around the house, and on some nice painkillers. So I'm still mostly AFK for another day or so, I just hopped onto the forum while she's taking a little nap.

Oh, and Kindle for Android works quite well on a Droid X. I had time to experiment while waiting at the hospital.

Getting on a roll rescripting multiple spells (did about a half dozen of them just after lunch today), then having to stop to get infants out of bed, clean 'em, feed 'em, dress 'em, then pack 'em up to go get their older brothers from school, then help one of the older ones with school work, put the little ones down for a nap, then intervene when the older ones start fighting, then get the little ones up to feed them again, then make dinner, feed all 4 kids, officiate some more with the older ones, get all 4 kids ready for bed, put all 4 kids to bed, then spend time with the wife before she goes to sleep, drink some caffiene, then finally get time to try to get back into the coding mood for a couple hours before falling asleep...

If I had a babysitter in-house, I could be done with the spell recoding project and a couple other large Aenea projects by now. Of course, then I'd really need an outside job to pay that babysitter full-time, which would still leave me with about the same amount of time for doing computer stuff (because nobody is going to pay me full-time wages to create things for NWN).

[ Yes, progress is still being made, folks. Just not nearly as fast as I'd like...my to do (and want to do) list grows faster than I can shrink it down. ]

Saving instead of exporting.

Yesterday I'd just finished creating brand new, highly exacting "head model templates" for working with aligned visual effects. In gmax (the modeling software I use), I just open one of these files, import whatever I'm working on onto the template, do the fitting, then delete the template and export the finished visual model.

Today I made the mistake of accidentally saving after deleting the template head. It'll be more work to remake the stupid thing than it was to make it the first time, since I deleted the various "helper" models I'd used to make them all.

Yeah, I immediately made backups of the other 11 template heads, but the dwarf female is about to suck up an extra hour or so of my time for something I already did.

And yes, I was almost 1/2 way through with a new aligned VFX (a mask).
