Suck is...

Making any adjustments to factions in the module.

It takes a half hour (at least) for the toolset to apply the changes ... check every placeable, creature, trigger, and door in every one of the 676 areas, then check every placeable, creature, trigger, and door in the resource palettes ... yeah, it's doing this right now as I post from my phone...the toolset makes even surfing the web a pain when it's processing factions.

Suck is.... getting to the end of the terran campaign in Starcraft2... and finding out that the next campaign (zerg) isn't there because it'll be an "expansion pack" released supposedly in early 2012. Then who knows how long for the protoss campaign after that -_-

Quick Update here: Last Thur moring, my gaming was postponed for a bit due to a stroke. The MD's say it is a Good Stroke, as it only has affected the vision abd balance area of my brain; still retain speech, feeling, ability to walk, etc. I have double-vision, and feel like I am on a merry-go-round.

However, it makes typing even more difficult than it already was anyway, so my days of quick and witty banter may not return. Well, some say it was never present anyway, but I digress. Hopefully, I may improve again in a few months, and may b e able to interact more frequebtky then. See you as I am able.

How did you not know that going in? It was a huge dust-up in the gaming community, with people condemning Blizzard for releasing a partial game at a full price, with two more full-price 'expansion packs' to follow...

When you were away due to PC issues, your presence was missed in Aenea. While I am overjoyed that you have rejoined us, please please don't risk your health. I am glad that it was a "good stroke", and hope that you recover fully and return to your wisecracking ways... but in the meantime, rest up, take good care of yourself. We will miss you, but you will have our thoughts with you. Maybe while you are resting, you can come up with some more ways to ridicule Aurora Smile

Cuz... I don't follow gaming news as much as I used to :-P Although having been somewhat "jipped" by many recent purchases, I'll definitely get back into the practice of completely investigating a game before getting it.

having two family members you care about that share one computer... and you are the one who supports that computer.... and they get into an ongoing argument/family drama.... one changes the password so the other can't get in... and you get dragged into it and have to remotely create new accounts, passwords, and reset security permissions and access control lists for all the files and move them from the old account to the new ones...

seriously... just.... ugh. 2+ hours of my life i am never getting back... and its over something totally stupid...

It crossed my mind.... but remember... I am the one who supports the computer.

That means anything I do that might allow for them to screw with one another will end up with another call to my cell phone, and another chunk of my time wasted trying to fix whatever they screwed with.... and god forbid it ends up being deleted files.... there are ways to recover them sometimes, but its nowhere near 100% reliable, takes a long time, and usually only results in a partial recovery.

One of the worst things to have to explain to a user is that they have lost critical data or files, and there is no recourse or way to get them back.

Their hard drive is almost full, too.... and lack of free space is one thing that tremendously reduces the chances of recovering things.

Better for all involved if I just take the time up front to do the job right, and secure their data from one another's tampering.

I would still be tempted to get the point across; take it Selfish1 and Selfish2 are already in use....
